Re: Ivy League style for today

Welcome aboard Steve. I'm sure like most of us you will soon find yourself up to your knees and then your neck in Ivy. Your shoulders will get all soft, darts will annoy you, your waist will creep up and your obsession  with finding the perfect grey flannels will make you a wee bit mental.  Don't worry about it. It's a completely natural (shoulder) process.

PS if anyone claims that gun check jacket is Ivy I'll be jumping off a fucking bridge.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Re the Arrow Dover. That's the same brand who made the Arrow Cum Laude labelled shirts in the 50s and 60s. They were certainly an Ivy label. But a fashionable label too. Bright coloured oxfords, prints candy stripes etc. I like Arrow personally though they obviously can't compare to Brooks,  Sero and the like.

The Dover label is 80s I think. Maybe 70s at a push. I've never owned one myself but from the pics above and others I've seen the collars look smaller and stiffer. I suppose the Dover line reflects the move from Ivy fashion to Preppy fashion for Arrow.
