Well, that's good.  I was hoping you'd say "We got bored with the city and drove to O'Connell's."

Awwww man.  That's horrible.  Looks freakin' great too.  At least you have that pic.  Hopefully no other clothing casualties.  And I shouldn't fail to mention the lovely ladies. Rooooowwwwrrrrr....

Re: Ivy League style for today

I sent it out to be pressed after unpacking, got it back and wore it out then hung it up in the closet for the rest of the week. When I went to pull it down to repack before checking out, I found it covered in bleach stains and holes. Somebody spilled some kind of chemical on it unnoticed which slowly seaped through and ate away at the fabric. It didn't show any evidence until a day later, though I didn't look at it until checking out. It was absolutely mint too! A powder blue and white pincord with 3/2 roll and slim lapel, hooked rear vent, tapered all the way down the trousers. Unquestionably the coolest suit I've ever owned. Worn above with white walk-over bucks and a late-50s six button Brooks Makers.

Ah.  That's why you ask.  I think around 13" on my frame.  But, I'll need to measure to be sure.  I'll get back to you on that.

Re: Ivy League style for today

My vintage sack suits are 12" rise (front rise to be precise), and I'm a 30 to 31" waist.  My tailored trousers (photos to follow kids) are the same.  That's some high rise you've got there.  Any higher and you'll need a zoot suit.
