Ending my intermittent flirtation with proletariat ale, I purchased some organic  beer from Budels brewery here in the Netherlands: the honey beer and bio Pilsener. Great stuff, especially when washed down with a plantation rum chaser.

By the voodoo gods that rumbullion was fine stuff last night! It was from Haiti, which had me worried from the start:

http://www.barbancourt.net/rhum-barbancourt-5-etoiles.php?langue=en

8 years old, the 5 Star, all peppery and fiery like Talisker, a real bargain at €24.99 Euros.

I noticed in the store I purchased it from had Hemmingway rum from Venezuela at a mere €16.99 a bop, I decided that was way too risky, but only because it was stored right next to the Bundaberg and Stoh over proof rums.

I would avoid gypsies as it can easily kick off when they have a drink.

Best for landlords to bar them straight away; rather than wait for them to get out of hand.

On no account rent a function room to them.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

I was once in the queue in a Post Office with some travelling folk in front of me, and for the first time ever, I experienced the awful stench of the unwashed and soiled. Truly disgusting, They then proceeded to try and claim benefits for their grandmother back in Ireland to which they were given short-shrift.

They're not well respected around my neck of the woods on account of their thieving activities and attempts to take over land. A group of them made a mistake of camping on some prime real estate and threatening all and sundry who came close, unfortunately for them, it was land ear marked for development by one of the building companies owned by a single shareholder. The heavies were brought in and they moved on pretty quick.

Rok India Pale Ale. All taste seems to have been eliminated from this brew. Avoid.

More tequila.  Had a Kona Brewing Company Longboard Golden Ale earlier.  'Twas good.

Right now, ginger ale.

In a few moments? A fish bowl full of gin with bits of pretzels thrown in to eat off of the surface. This always amuses my friend. And this friend is a girl. But she never gets naked.

Playful. I'm trying to play hard to get. Actually, I have a hard time making "the move". Too damned reticent. Meanwhile all I am thinking is "damn I want to bone this bitch." And she is probably thinking, "damn, I wish he would bone me like the bitch that I am." But something is in the way.

Anyway, I am drinking a Heineken Light. A donation from my super. It's terrible but I am getting up the courage to send a facebook message. JFC I am a sad excuse for a man.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

Weston's Cloudy Scrumpy 7.5% from Lidl 2 litre flagon. I will not consume it all in one go.

Does not taste like 7.5%. Not as acidic, tart, sharp as expected - a bit flat tasting. I remember draught scrumpy from handpumps with no pumpclips (if I remember correctly- certainly no information on the clips)in Pompey. But then there were more pubs, and bar billiards - not pool - and jukeboxes in the pubs.
