Very good Oliver. Climbing cliffs in a pair of Weejuns. I think I'd be scared too. Fair play.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Haha thanks everyone. There was one other couple climbing ahead of us (thank god as I never would've made it out of that crevice without the guys help!) and he commented that I was surely the first person to have ever done that in "business casuals" haha.

Jeff, I know Bennigton very well, bordering the Green Mountain Nat'l Forest. It's beautiful up there. We spent a few nights in Stowe and Waterbury on this trip, hiking around the Smuggler's Notch scenic byway (an old bootlegers pass between US-Canadian border during the prohibition era) and the summit ridge of Mt. Mansfield overlooking the Adirondacks. As pretty as that area is, returning home and driving up north along the Ave of Giants to the Redwoods around Humboldt and Crescent City made me realize that there's no place on earth (nor any mountain ranges in the United States) like the California high country!

Henry, lookin' sharp brother... can't wait to get that shirt in the mail! smile

I feel like I just went to my neighbor's house after they returned home from their lovely vacation.

"Oh, come on over.  We've got the slide projector set up.  You've got to see what a great time we had.  We've got root beer and pretzels to snack on too."

But, great shots nonetheless.

People use to mock at people's holiday slide shows, but Kodachrome was utterly superb and the perfection of slide film:

Re: Ivy League style for today

Love hiking around these trails, have found some nice swimming holes up there too, really fun, great for day trips out of the city too.  Nice old farmhouse stuff to be found at the antique stores in the area as well.

Root beer pretzels, and a slide show sounds like a good time, and Oliver's climbing apparel is nicely nonchalant.  Trying to keep myself from saying watch out for the twisted ankle but I can't.

Your Japan trip is the stuff of envy, but I hope you don't encounter Mothra, she'll mess up your sweaters big time.

Comparing my scalp to Sancho's, I find that he has approximately 17 hair follicles for each of my 1.

I like yellow shirts, atleast when I have some color. Otherwise it looks kinda weird. Pale as I am.

Ha!  I know pale. I also know ale. I also know when I'm three sheets to the wind.
