I have high water chinos that I wear with Jack Purcell’s and bare ankles for that Frankie Avalon at a beach party look LOL.
I am not sure they work with a suit though.Wincle pinkers are a no for me ,mainly because they are winkle pickers.

The Ballard comparison was really only to do with shoe choice. But I'd say Ballards trousers are a better length.
The one thing I always come back to, that is worth considering from a Jivy point of view, is Ballards jacket. Apart from the colour everything about it is conservative looking. It's a good anchor for the rest of the out there details. The right rouser length too is a good anchor. Worth considering for BCB perhaps.

Yes. IMO they are too short. Ballard's are the perfect length for that look, IMO. Just above no break. Pretty much my ideal hem.

Wore a navy BB sack, a repp stripe tie, AE burgundy strands. However, I wore a white, spread collar shirt sans breast pocket. I feel like a whore.

Agree on the trouser length, BCB is too much for me as it's a suit, chinos or 5 pockets then ok.
Another powerful part of the image is the colour split in the Ballard shot, that's what makes it for me - I know you chose it for the shoe, but BCB seem more Russell Brand to me, no offence BCB - but WPs have too many goth links for my liking.
