Definitely. I don't wear trainers much nowadays, but I think they pretty much perfected the things way way back. Almost everything post say, 1970-odd has been unnecessary tinkering and variations on a theme really.

Ever seen The Monkees' Head? I've always thought Mickey Dolenz had a good shell toes and Levis look going on there. Look at the opening scene here, where he jumps off the bridge.
