Re: Ivy League style for today

I'll add that in that older picture I'm almost head-to-toe modern Brooks Bros.  The shirt and chinos are both Brooks.  One major evolution since then has been my acquisition of decent vintage items.  So going more to the legit source.  Again, completely a result of being on this forum.

WM - I am gad that you are getting the look that you want. You are right I need to work on my rise. It sucks. I do have a new order of LE chinos in and I think that they just might work...after a lot of tapering.

Re: Ivy League style for today

There's a shitload of choice on the trouser front at O'Connells WM.. as per Ollie with the jumpers...

What are your ones of choice fella?

I've spent a fair bit of time on their site over the years but still to break my cherry...

Get irritated by their search engines at times so thought I'd cut to the chase...

Re: Ivy League style for today

I can offer some tips on the trouser front as I've about half a dozen pairs from O'Connell's all picked up in the last couple of years. Their plain front worsteds, flannels and linens are all solid. Those are the only ones I've tried and their fit is pretty consistent; high rise, full cut, need to be finnished and tailored. They offer free hemming but additional alterations cost money. If you know your preference in taper then I suppose you could have them shipped ready to wear. I dig the white ducks strictly as beach wear but I can see WMs problems with them.

Good look on you too, Ox.

And I dig the Press flap pocket, "6". I think pink oxford looks best with it for some reason. Nice work! Are they Brooks copies?
