Agree with Leer. Playboys would look awesome with that look. Not that the loafers aren't great.

I love the look in general.

WM- very nice...this relaxed look is nice on you.  I'm assuming the chinos were tapered by a tailor?

That brushed shetland looks mighty comfy.

I like that LE shawl a lot!

Did you taper and hem the O'Connell's? Which model are they?

They look great imo!

Re: Ivy League style for today

I dont soggs ive moved on what I thought was the facts of dressing because I realised my taste was really just governed by the fashion of now. I dont put on a front to be the most authentic I genuinely love the clothes and the extremes of the look especially from the 50s. Im quite willing to admit that makes me a trainspotter when it comes to clothes im less and less interested by the idea of the look being a current one. You do something else which is keep pushing forward modernism which is great but its not my thing any more. For the reasons I gave above.

One thing I can tell you all, from recent show experience, is to stay clear of those vintage Hush Puppies.  They are crap.  Like a friend said when he picked them up moments after I opened the package from Ebay, "They feel like shoes made for a marionette."

Yeah they were a steal, deadstock made in Czechoslovakia for Sears, at least 20 years old.

The boots do look really interesting, it may be the way Bop is sitting
but he looks like he is hung like a shire horse in those strides.
