Slavery in Britain

Any guesses as to the nationality of the Lambeth slave- keeping couple, who inexplicably have been bailed?

Re: Slavery in Britain

It will highly likely be a Middle East Gulf State, but unlikely to be from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as they would already be on the private jet home. I would also take a bet on the religion of the slave keeping couple, but that would bigotted of me.

I liked the police commissioner comments that we will be seeing a lot more of this. Very sad indeed.

Are they selling them or renting them out? Our man in Tunisia wants to compare prices.

Re: Slavery in Britain

They could be Indian, from a higher caste. At the end of the day they only have themselfs to blame. If mine aren't in service they go back in the basement until I need something doing. They know damn well not to touch the laptop or telephone during cleaning time, regardless of if I'm in the flat or not. You give these people an inch they'll take a mile.

Suppose it could have been worse - if Cameron and his cronies had organised it, they'd have to have worked in Poundland.

Wherever their from, we can rest assured Nick Clegg's first response when it becomes public, will be to inform us how wonderful the community they sprang from is and how their response is a lesson to us all.

Meanwhile, I see the Establishment is finally waking up to the rampant corruption in some of our Pakistani communities, no doubt they've seen the unelected and unelectable Minister of Faith in action and thought we can have some of that!

Re: Slavery in Britain

Seems like it's some kind of cult, but the media are definitely not letting the nationality out of the bag just yet.

Re: Slavery in Britain

Thats multi-cultured Britain for you. How I miss it so. I bet your all really looking forward to the Roma's coming. You thought the polish suppressed the minimum wage and other Eastern Europeans increased crime? Sex slave Traffic? You ain't seen nothing yet. With one million under 25s out of work why wouldn't you want the Roma's? Don't forget to give them your spare change so they can buy food, you can't live on housing benefits alone and after all, charity does begin at home.

Even Romania doesn't do as much for their gypsy population as your about to...suckers!

Re: Slavery in Britain

I think the problem with the Roma is that there aren't any that will want to be part of society. Its a problem we have here in Norway, they tend to sit around begging, they are also known for stealing, playing violins (badly) and accordions (badly) in the street. Going though the street bins for empty soda bottles, for which there is a 10p deposit. At night many can be seen seen selling single roses to the tourists as well as other forms of tat. Sleeping and shitting in the street is common. We don't give them any benefits as we're not fully paid up members of the E.U. Goverment is pushing though a bill to make begging illegal and hopefully this will deter them staying and more coming. Of course they are banned from soup Big knockers, the beggers are of course, proper begging gangs. I've seen the top boys taking the money from the women that beg and giving them coffee. This is in a country with one of the best standards of living in the world. Thankfully we get a break from them once the winter sets in. Not that we're flooded with them but there is enough for it to be a problem.

Of course with G.Bs membership of the E.U comes the responsibility of housing others from member states and giving them money to live on. If you don't wanna clean floors for £15 per hour when you can't claim state benefits, you ain't gonna wanna do it for £7 when you can.

In Romania they get nothing and are hated by Romanians that pay taxes. Roma children are not allowed, for instance, to attend state schools. When Romania and Bulgaria joined the E.U I seem to recall they were given a couple of billion Euros to build homes and stuff for the gypo's. I'm not anti anyone but I do believe in vetting and I would deffo draw the line at the Roma, unless of course I was Romanian or Bulgarian, in which case I'd be helping to pack their suitcases. I bet they can't believe their luck.
