Gotta love the guys in coats and shorts.  And I love the the guy nonchalantly carrying the snowball, as if he's got is sights on some unsuspecting chump just across the quad.

I'm pretty sure Oxford Cloth Button Down has some pics he may want to contribute to this thread.

nice set of pics of these drunks ... hangovers are abounding .... good to see the Bean camp mocs and Red Wing 875s and Sperry CVOs in there though ...

it's impossible for me to look at these pics of Dartmouth guys of the early '60s and not see them as Animal House characters ....

I see Storks, Larry Krogers, Dorfmans, Boons, Flounders, Chip Dillers, Hoovers, and maybe even an Otter, Marmalard, and Niedermeyer too here and there ....

Gee, these are nice but I would love to see some California year books - LA and San Francisco would be a great - as much as I love the boom years, I really would love to see 1968 to 1973. A little more diversity would be cool too. NYU could be a good year book. also graduate students pictures, with a more grown up look.

College professors moved the look forward after the boom years. Their style is very under represented online but that's the look that works on men past 40. Respectable with a slight bohemian flair.

You'll probably like the upcoming Tech Ivy '68 posts.

Re: Yearbook Finds: The Best of Collegiate and School Ivy

By '68 the casual slob look was already creeping in.  A definite crossover period.

Re: Yearbook Finds: The Best of Collegiate and School Ivy

I wouldn't personally use the term slob but its a little less formal than what went before, certainly...
The impact of recreational drugs on campuses is something that hasn't really been touched on here but the influence must have been widespread from mid-60s onwards. Who was there at the time though? Nobody here unfortunately...?
