Thank you, guys! I really love all my purchases of the last months... Hat, coat and shoes seem (besides my Fitz) to be great choices smile

I seriously can't believe that overhang over the door.  That's right out of a cartoon.  Tilted at just the right angle. Cruel bastards.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Patrick - as someone said  that overhang  is great cartoon /Road Runner stuff. Here it will be 35C again today going steadily up toward Saturday when it will be 40C again AND an overnight LOW of 30C. And no doubt on Friday some idiot will light a fire and it will cause a bushfire.

Sadly I have done something to my shoulder yesterday and can't help with the snow shovelling. But I couldn't help thinking I could make something to sit up on that overhang that would make the snow fall to the outside. Or you could avoid slamming the door, or step to the side rather than direct front after you slam, or wait 30 second after slamming before walking.

I hope this helps.

otoh based on my knowledge about snow, mainly gained from watching usa cartoons, the most likely scenario is that sick of snow falling down back of neck as you leave you get a lightbulb moment, decide to wait my suggested 30 seconds before walking, but you walk to edge and cautiously look up to see if snow is sliding - THEN - it falls on bang full on your face!

Re: Ivy League style for today

Don't forget the snow is probably also somehow covering a huge hole about 3 feet out the door, which you also fall into.

And won't here be small boys who will pop up on your walk to work and throw snowballs and knock your hat off?

Re: Ivy League style for today

What the heck happened to the Bedfords? I bought two pairs when they first surfaced and they look nothing like the low rise nut squeezers in the pic above. Everything looks good except those strides man; those look uncomfortable as hell.

Jaakko is definitely packing a load there,i bet no one calls him wee willy winky!
I think its the same scenario as happened to me with those five pocket primarks that Bop recommended.
If the rise isn't right  and you hike them up to your waist the result is "rhino nuts" to the outside world.
Of-course me and Jaako are lucky we are both so well endowed but i am concerned for a few of you
"ahem" smaller boned boys.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Btw, it seems that LVC redesigned the bedfords for some stupid reason and dropped the rise significantly. My old size 32 bedofords measure 11.5" and sit comfortably at my true waist. I just checked the new sizing and it's way off. I guess I better take good care because I won't be replacing them anytime soon.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Hahah, on second thought the crotch area does seem a bit suspicious but I gotta say that it's more to do with the lighting of the room and the fabric of the pants than any camel tail a'la Bon Scott action happening. The pants could do with a bit more rise certainly, why Levis can't get these things right is beyond me. Apparently the sizing is pretty erratic; I've had two pairs of these (the 519s) and the other pair had a waist size almost 2" smaller.

Re: Ivy League style for today

If there's one benefit to having miniscule testicles and micropenis, it's being able to hike your low rise pants up to your navel without discomfort and vulgar display.
