Everyone looking great as per (even allowing for the inclement weather on both sides of the pond).

Great to have you back Captain, looking forward to the return of proper suspender-ization on your trews on this thread.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I think the fact we are posting outfits for others to enjoy skews what is worn for the activity. Ie I don't want to see billax dressed like shit cleaning the driveway. I don't mind if he dresses up. I mean I've posted stuff that's just me trying out ideas. But then I get what smf is saying too.

Sink or swim boys... sink or swim.  Let's not let the lowest common denominator make us lazy.  Wear the close you like where you like.  It's so "anything goes" nowadays, who gives a shit?  Being "overdressed" in a situation used to give me anxiety, but now I just don't give a rat's ass.  It's better than the alternative.  Granted, I rarely wear a suit and usually don't feel "overdressed", and you'll hardly ever find me in a tie.  But you want to wear an ill fitting sport coat paired with saggy faded jeans and RUNNING SHOES to the Metheny concert?  That's fine with me.  I'll wear a suit.  I was "overdressed" relative to everyone else, but I didn't feel out of place.  I'm not saying there's no such thing as being overdressed for an occasion, but you shouldn't feel out of place for just making a little effort while everyone else walks around looking like slobs.  My barber and I had this conversation just yesterday, funnily enough.  He was in total accord.

Hahaha.  I was thinking of you guys too last night, while standing in the line (queue) at the concert, looking the other gents over.  There was some really bad "style" going on.  The distinguished looking older black gentlemen in front of me looked pretty good though, in a floppy cap and a nice long brown overcoat and tan wool pants.  He had some decent brown shoes on too.  He was a vision of brown, but it looked good to me.  He smelled good too.

Mrs. WM is bugging me to help her clean the house.  Should I wear my three piece suit, or a tweed sack and flannels?  DECISIONS!!!

Oh... gotta go.  She's coming....  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, boys.

I'm with Billax, he looks perfectly draped and comfortably appropritate up there. I guess I just can't relate because 90% of my friends dress well, and I tend to hang around with people who share similar ideas. I don't know anyone who wears t-shirts or cargo shorts.

Does anyone actually wear cargo shorts anymore?
