I'll give J Simons some credit. At least these chinos aren't being advertised as "heirloom," "organic," or "crafted by native artisans."
I sincerely apologize for the relative good fortune we have in khakis procurement!
Its ok I use barbour jackets to line the rabbit hutch.
Bastard.
All I really wear is denim downstairs and whilst I do hope to pick up some fancy strides over the next year or so, I have absolutely zero knowledge on anything made by other names mentioned here...
Whilst I can't wholly comment on this recent batch by JS (made in England I'm pretty sure), I was there a while back when they had a sample pair made and they appeared to be on a par with the US ones which I have...and an old Italian pair too for the record, in recent years from John...
They're ideal for me, seem splendidly made as Acton describes so much better than ever I could... and get a lot of wear...
I wouldn't really know where else to go over here as I'd have to try before I buy etc.
American Classic have some very decent looking ones but they're way dearer than Johns...
I'm also a loyal JS customer over the years so more than happy to buy from him and whilst price may be ludicrous to some, I'd much rather spend a bit more on summat I actually like and that tick Thee Captain's boxes...
I saw Guy around 4-5 months ago...man...that's some fitness programme...I shall be asking for tips!
And Acton - I just popped by Dave Wax.... 395-495 notes for a pair of strides made..... ?
'KIN ADA...just think of all the chinos I could get for that ha ha....
I am not immune to overpaying for things I like myself Cap.
^ Yikes.
^ ha, so you didn't win the big euro rollover then
He's a lovely fella Dave,
get a drink in him and he has some salacious stories 'bout some 70's BBC talent that 'operation yewtree' may be interested in.
Still confused, but it's been a long day
First he invites you out for a drink now he's suggesting a tongue in his cheek. You be careful H.
I definitely wouldn't let him pop you off H!
