Nice stuff Oli.  And Cap, I'm at a loss for words.  Your posts never fail to please... on some level.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I was gonna say you look over dressed for SF, but maybe you've gone soft in the mild weather wink. I found it weird all and sundry were on about the incredible cold when we were there - severe weather warnings etc - I was in a madras and sweat! Only in the evening did I think it was cold enough for a tweed jacket.

I think we were very lucky with the weather, not a single day of fog and only the first morning was it overcast - after that blue skies every day. Went to Knob Hill the last weekend we were there, nice area man.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Man I spoke too soon... It's full on summer madras shorts and half-sleeve weather today! I'm sitting in a redwood grove in a public green space in the Financial District right now dripping with sweat, wishing I could tear off my chinos. I have an appointment at a govt building nearby and as open-minded and tolerant a city as this is, I don't think things would go well if I walked in my underwear. Today must be in the 80s!
