Well, I was referrring to those Frankenstein monstrosities previously posted, rather than the ones you have now pictured.

There's not much to chose between the ones above above for me - I don't like cap toes, but of the three I'd wear the Aldens.

I can't get onboard with Vass. They are certainly quality, but I don't even go in for gunboats really. I like a more elegant dress shoe.

Oh, I wouldn't say they are Ivy, at least the Budapesters aren't. But other classic styles they offer like sleeker split toe Norwegians or London Derbies... And the Pennies I have... (They look very similar to the ones Billax wore last week). Or the cap toes... Would fit well into the canon. You will see. I will wear mine occasionally, without mentioning wink

"My Vass ain't nothin' but Bass..."  Now that I like.  I may have to ask to use that lyric sometime.

Excellent look there!  Cool hat. Really diggin' the knit tie.  It's a shame we can't see your collar.  What is the jacket?

Re: Ivy League style for today

Interesting is that they share that ruggedness. Budapesters or Austro Hungarian shoes in general are for use and abuse... But I would indicate that Aldens aren't Ivy but New England staples (which is for most people the same)... I think BB Brit stuff also is Ivy, 100% Ivy. Church's, Edward Green... Etc. smile
