So, if I were to entertain the idea of featuring a Hollywood waist (I already hear people from the Hat Lounge gathering outside) I would probably employ it on a suit. Definitely not a casual trouser. Why are you suddenly interested in the Hollywood waist FXH?
The copy on that site reads like Hat Lounge pornography. It's almost making MY mouth water.
Heh. I've always been interested in clothes. Anyone who is serious, read nerdy, about this notices things like Hollywood waists, its one of those things I've always looked at. It is a step to real fed lounge dress ups though.
I think if you do it it has to be relaxed smart Cas, with shirt no jacket or cardy, or Cas jacket. Its why I wondered about taper, only ecver seen it on loose drape and serious pleats.
On another note I wonder how Magnoli Clothiers would go on reproducing a classic jacket /suit, swelled edges, patch pockets, soft shoulder etc?
I think they would make great stage/performing clothes.
I'm sure either of those tailors could cook up just the perfect high waist / classic taper trousers with any features you'd desire. But a tad costly. My main contention would be the pleats. I'm sure they could do flat front, but Hollywood waist without pleats? I guess it could look okay on a suit trouser, but I think I'd feel like I'm just wearing some weird idiosyncrasy.
I do lament people in bands etc not taking stagecraft / dressing to perform seriously. Those denim clad hippies have a lot to answer for.
Psshhh... Don't get me started.

HAHA! Not IVY man!
Or... is it?
Oh yeah. That guy's black. Should have been obvious.
I think it is ivy. I have it on good authority zoot suits originally started in east coast universities. Therefore unlike other clothing its ivy.
Beautiful summer colours from Both Billax and Jaakko.
Thank-you guys ,you have brightened my day.
