Are the Two Ronnies spectacles cool yet?
Eric Morecambe?
Robin Day?
George Smiley(Alec Guinness)?
Reginald Maudling?
Harry Hill?
Jim Callaghan?
I am trying " to rock" a 1950s Surrey golf club vibe. Think double-breasted non-Ivy blazers, gin and tonic, jaguars and black and and white photographs of a young Queen Elizabeth.
Would I be better advised to try The Wardrobe?

Willie Smith rules!
What the heck is that blogger going on about with the photo MM in euro-trash loafers and patch madras clown pants though?? I like pre-d'Abo Manfreds as much as anybody but wtf is this supposed to mean... "musically and sartorially, they were analogous to a pivot between Brubeck"??
White people in glasses!
Ps - Senore, those are my specs indeed.
Thick plastic frames were indeed out of fashion for quite sometime, certainly throughout the 80s and 90s, The Highway steel frame and later the rimless Air Titanium ruled. Even earlier, you had Lennon eschewing plastic lenses for round steel ones.
It's great that bold plastic lenses have made a comeback.
We haven't mentioned Esquival yet, the Mexican Ellington, another excellent ambassador of the space-age plastic frame.
Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Holly
