There is restraint in color, if not quite enough in pattern.
I still cannot get used to neck tattoos and such on people that don't look like violent felons.
Can someone explain the correlation with all the stretched earlobes?

If you look closely, part of the face tattoo actually extends INTO the ear.  OUCH!!

I used to have one of those ties shooey and a few western cowboy string /shoelace ties with a broach thing at neck. I'll have a look and see if I can find them.

I think it is called a string tie. The bolo includes the decorative piece and has metal ends.

Just to make matters clear, the string tie and the bolo tie are two quite distinct garments. The string tie is simply a long band of hemmed ribbon. It can be tied in several ways, most commonly like a bowtie with the flat ends hanging some distance below the bow. The bolo tie is the shoelace-like one with the decorative slider.

I guess there's always the slight chance he inherited a lot of money or maybe is a brilliant and successful web designer or artist that struck out on his own.  But, that's exactly what I think when I see that kind of facial or neck tattoo: "Well, now you've really gone and done it, buddy."

Speaking from personal experience, it seems there's a direct relationship between neck and face tattoos and some sort of weird personality disorder.  No offense to your brother, Doghouse.
