If they are like the last batch, go for the regular not slims (the rise is a bit better, still not huge tho') and I just bought in my size (the 32" waist measured 33" off the shelf) , with very little shrinkage at all.
They look great - I'd be very interested to know too. What are the rear pocket details like?
Plain pockets with a double line of stitching and bar-tacked at the pocket opening (very 501-esque in shape and style) no accurate or branding on the pockets.
For the money they are are great buy, not a great rise but the regular have a deeper rise than the slim.
Great - so the waist isn't true to size? If I wanted a 31 waist a 30 should be the one to get?
I have the slim fit and it's more a skinny fit, very narrow in the thighs with a low rise at a guess I'd say 7 inch leg opening for a size 31.
Also, some jeans have the lemon yellow stitching others are just plain brown so keep an eye out.
Just pulled the trigger on a pair of regulars - will give my verdict when I get them.
From the website they look like the jeans that bog standard Levi 501s should be, but certainly aren't. And the price is right.
If they are anything like the original selvedge jeans they did a few years back the denim is great.
The rise is on the low side, however, and the slim fit is slimmer than slim.
Yup - could do with a bit more in the rise - but they're no where near the hipsters 501s have become, from the measurements they give.
The regulars look pretty slim fit to me, I wouldn't want to go any slimmer.
As someone who refuses to pay 100 quid for a pair of jeans (and certainly not LVC prices) even if the denim is good quality selvedge - these look to be a good compromise. I like the lack of branding too.
But the proof of the pudding, as they say.........
Don't go past a 36 waist, so for that reason Natalie I'm out!
^ try the usa online store, go up to 38 and 40 in some styles.

Took the hit. The rise is too low, by an inch and half for my preference. I got the slim straight, as opposed to the slim skinny, which is too narrow fitting even on a 6ft 10 stone beanpole like me. I'll be keeping them as they're not that far off my criteria to be okay for office wear especially at £40 delivered.
The Lee 101z remains my jean of choice.
