loving these pics AC, you are on a roll!
college football on Saturday is the most All-American thing there is.
it doesn't matter who's playing, I like the sounds of the bands, crowd, announcers, statistics, commercials.
it keeps the country together.
it is a must.
scouting future opponents and waiting for the big game later tonight.
if in a Twilight Zone timewarp scenario I found myself in the stands at the Pittsburgh vs. West Virginia 1953 game it would be unusual. odd. terrifying. But I'd still notice buttondown collars, plain-front chinos, cuffs, pennies, Shetlands, v-necks, t-shirts, jeans, work boots, canvas sneakers, sweats, varsity jackets, madras, poplin raincoats, Clubmasters, hornrims, wind-up watches, C-shaped belt buckles, stadium coats, mackinaws, 3/2 sacks. Even the hats.
The smoking would bum me out also but the accents would be funny and I'd rally and have some beers and hot dogs and popcorn .... check out their scary cheerleaders ... actually that's another good reason to carry some cash with you at all times .... what if you were transported from 2014 to a game in 1953 but only had a credit-card and $3 in your wallet? after you bought the hot dogs, beer, popcorn and a program and later dinner and breakfast the next day you'd be broke.
That 1960 Orioles shot got me populating my high rise pants tent.
bivouac sack!
I love your quantum leap into 1953.
Glad you had fun. As much as I'm not a football fan, I imagine attending a huge college football game with you would be a really fun time.

Just perfect.
I have days like that.
