My woolrich 60/40 is pretty poor at keeping the water out but very good at keeping the sweat in...anyone recommend a good jacket that does the opposite or shall I just wear it inside out?
Sierra Designs 60/40?
Ventile is probably more effective as a material and is often used by those who work out doors and want something tough but breathable, beams+ and nammica seem to make a few mountain parka influnced goretex jackets most seasons.
It is good for keeping out the wind but on colder days ive got some heavier Pendleton coats and a Ralph mackinaw wool thing... its really just getting the wet weather sorted..at the moment ive taken to wearing an old snowboarding jacket but fancy having something more in keeping. 60/40 fabric is gteat in theory but seriously superseded now.
You could try spraying it with a waterproofing spray? Might fuck it up though, so don't hare off and try it, maybe test an area that's not visible? It won't make it any more breatheable though....
When it's really hoying down here, I'm afraid I just use a breathable modern walking jacket - not stylish, but it really is one area where modern fabrics score.
First it was the shot of him with a lanyard on his waist, and now this. I just feel like I don't know him anymore.
How about an umbrella?
Yeah, but I live on the west coast of Wales.
What else haven't you been telling us?
Well, it's not like you go around boasting about being a devout purist, but I presumed you were natty 24/7. Another illusion shattered.
I'm actually wearing a shell suit today. It's one way to stop people messing with me.
Seriously though, I'm not exactly non-ivy at work, but the look is somewhat diluted for practical reasons.

Thanks. I like to think the outfit has a continuity with both my northern soul past and my more recent ivy leanings. Indeed, I'm sure if I were to walk through the campus of Harvard today in such an outfit, whilst singing Footsee, most students and professors would give me a knowing look of recognition and respect.
Thanks to Leer for passing the outfit on to me due to him no longer being able to fit into it. I managed to get most of the stains out btw.

Yeah. I rarely see anyone wearing shell suits at this point, other than filthy, dangerous, oozing crackheads.
