Those girls got my turkey giblets all smothered in gravy. Thanks CharLAY!!!
Charlay served up the Southern Thanksgiving? may I ask if you had artichoke dip? squash casserole? sweet potatoes with orange juice and pineapple with miniature marshmallows caramelized on top? you know why the mini-mallows are key here? For preserving the meringue when serving portions. ham? pecan pie? I know you had biscuits.
Giblet gravy or go home. Giblet and mushroom. With tiny bits of chiffonade parsley.
deets man.
I sequestered a loaf pan of wicked stuffing and later made squares of it, butterflied the pieces, broiled them, and late at night and have been munching them with black currant jam and red pepper jelly.
Mama and Mrs. WM cooked up turkey with giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes with the sweet sauce including the mini-mallows, homemade rolls, my mom's melt-in-your-mouth squash casserole, cranberry sauce, and then for dessert, some buttery baked apples on top of the homemade rolls. I washed it all down with sweet tea and then my dad made a pot of Maxwell House for the dessert. Wooo buddy!
ahh yeeah ... knew those green beans would be there ... good call on the squash casserole, right?
sounds like a treat, baked apples = nice touch
was not in the mood for pumpkin pie yesterday but I got down on the turkey, golden wine gravy, cornbread stuffing, mushrooms, Parker Houses, sweet potatoes, wild rice, mashed potatoes, cider, Jack Daniel's, raspberry lime rickey ....
Sounds good to me. And regarding the squash casserole, she sometimes substitutes that for dressing/stuffing. Not sure if she's ever had both in the spread. Her squash casserole has cornbread in it. Ahhhh! It's so good! I could get the recipe for you. Everyone loves the stuff.
Lovin the headgear there on P.A.
R.I.P. indeed
Addams Family always seemed to be on when I got in from school as a kid.... happy memories!

R.I.P. My nephew reminds me of him, funniest kid you'll meet - he was the ring bearer at my wedding.
Seasons Greetings everybody, here's to another year of fun, frivolity and clothing excesses!
Dear Mr. Stanshall,
Out of interest, what trainers kept you going through the 80s...?
Regards,
Bop
