young football coach with downward look is Jack Griffin, who played end on the Tech teams of the late '40s, became the head of the Georgia Tech offense in 1956, and is well-regarded for having instituted compulsory study hall for athletes .... he wears a great single-breasted overcoat with beautiful welted lapels, dome buttons, worsted trousers, bd shirt, solid tie ....
player behind him is #11, quarterback/safety/kicker Wade Mitchell, Tech star and Redskins draft pick, and behind him is #89, Don Ellis, right end ... note the football lacing on the pants and the integral belts with metal buckles .....

one in a poorly fitting pale sport coat that is too long in the body and sleeves and too broad in the shoulders, loud tie, dark trousers, and white bucks, who looks clownish;
and finally one in a broad shouldered striped sport coat, too long again and a bit too stripey .....

good work WM , thanks. The image of the guys at the pool table troubles me slightly - a couple of those dudes have their shirts untucked. Now that surely ain't ivy is it? Unless your at the beach maybe the it is just about acceptable. I thought the untucked thing was a late C20 phenomenon adopted by certain portly males to conceal middle-aged spread.
