Re: Ivy League style for today

I haven't asked for Mercer to leave and i am sure FNB would be pissed if we banned someone for wearing cowboy boots.

The odd eccentric post is fine and we don't want to take ourselves to seriously do we ?

But to constantly post items that are not Ivy at all and then to disagree when people politely comment is difficult to deal with.

I wear Blucher mocs ,i don't however wear low rise made in china jeans and any old button down.

Its all in the detail and the combinations.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Mercer16 don't get huffy.  Just get your ass into some proper shoes and come back strong.

And kid don't abuse those blucher mocs either for that matter.

but you know when you're stirring the shizz too ... the first couple of cowboy boots shots were funny ...

then it seemed like you were more about the boots than the raison d'etre of the subforum, or you didn't understand that they were not that cool here, or that you weren't respecting the style before you disrespected it  or you weren't sharing the interest in the style

what I would like to see is a counter-argument .... but the fact is that cowboy boots and the choice of boots in general over shoes, clodhoppers and parachute boots, spelled the end of Ivy historically .....

but shit Mercer man, there is no desire to see you leave on account of your cowboy boots or any other reason as long as you're having fun with it ...

Natural shoulder - check
Status quo cuffs - check
Classic Scottish glen plaid - check

All set to a nice rustic parquet.

Were those the ones with carpet panels running up the sides?
