Ha, I think they need a bit of a pressing, but look like they will be smart when done. Nice taper and length.
Maybe a tad big in the waist, or are you sucking in for us?
The fit looks just my speed. Great find.
I was gonna say that but wondered if it was just the hook tab making the trouser stick out as in other shots they seem to fit fine. Obviously of they are too big you should not alter them as it would be sacrilidge - they should be offered to another appreciative forum-ite to look after.

Jeez Louise ... Holy Hole in a Doughnut Batman!
congrats on those beautiful sport coats, looking forward to seeing more! I said goddamn.
That is a lovely overcoat, well played Oli!
Thanks, the sleeves are unfortunately an inch and a half short so I'm crossing my fingers they won't leave a permanent crease or mark when let out. I think I can make it work! I've also got a beautiful pair of 1955 pebbled longwings coming with this lot. And there's a LOT more where all this came from!
I think I was about 8 years old the last time a size 30 pair of pants was hanging that loose at my waist - great trousers though
Great finds too Oli - that Clubman sack is a killer
What I love about you Oli is that you put my own spending habits into perspective - I now look like a model of restraint
I hope you're real and not some kind of avatar created by some kind of "Ivy league vintage clothes sales overlord" to encourage the rest of us to keep spending
Right I've got to take my medication and go and lie down somewhere dark now
^ 5 sack jackets and a camelhair overcoat for $250 incl. shipping - hardly an example of exorbitance.
Lot of the links don't seem to load up for me, but copied them to get a look.
That Clubman for Mcdevitt's is very neat.
I'm with Woof as regards the overcoat Oli - it looks great.
It all looks great! I'd probably trade all my overcoats for that one camel hair.
Oliver, I know I've said this before, but as you may recall I'm a size bigger than you, so if anything is a size too large for you, instead of risking getting it altered I may well be interested.

Yuca, I may have a 40-42 Harvard Coop summer wash 'n' wear for you if interested... I'll get pics!
Too big, but as I'm a 39 I could get it altered, assuming it's an R length (a sore point with me at present). Hell even if I don't buy it I'll get some vicarious pleasure from the pics.
39's tough to turn up... not a lucky size for vintage. Your best bet is to work with 40s and find a good alterationist as it's still cheaper (and cooler, more unique, soulful, interesting, etc) than buying new.
I just got word that a pair of LB Sheppard Hanover shell cordovans turned up in a size 10.5 E for anyone that might be interested. They're getting spruced up at the cobbler but I can post pics and price shortly.

Chet's been having luck! Nice one.
