'an interesting and unusual ... shirt' - sounds like they weren't even convinced themselves that they'd be a good idea!

Stanshall - I didn't want to say the P word around here. but yes I would say they have Preppy roots and are now part of the Trad curriculum.

What about Barbour International jackets,  we all know the mcqueen connection which they're now using for flogging stuff the man himself would of never have touched?

Re: Ivy League style for today

My father in law has one he brought in the 60s that was in his words his cafe posing jacket, he's a massive mcqueen fan having been in his late teens to early 20s during McQueens heyday. He's also a life long biker, but also into the smarter side of it (belstaff, matchless,  barbour jackets etc.) and has always been amused by my interest in scooters and push bikes.

Ew. Barbours are preppy? No wonder you guys don't like them. I'm not a fan of the preppy look to say the least, and I have noticed a few "frat bros" wearing Barbours at my school now that I think about it. And with bean boots of course! Haha. I think Mackinaws are a decent alternative though. The red and black checkered pattern appeals to my inner boot-wearing lumberjack side.

Last Friday night I stood around for three effing hours in single digit temps in order to photograph something called a "human dogsled race." Got one usable image and the mother of all head colds.

After the talk about Patrick's headcold, I imagined a particular smugness in OCBD's grin. Had myself a bit of a chuckle.

But of course, I'm home sick as well so who am I to talk?
