I'll just add this, that whatever your take on the look, or however you may have arrived at it, it doesn't matter to me. I'd never pass judgement and say "Oh, you're not worthy of wearing these clothes because you're not this or that," or "you're just posing," or any of that nonsense. I couldn't give a hoot. Just like I can appreciate someone that nails all the details, but can also appreciate someone that draws inspiration from and incorporates elements outside the strict Ivy rulebook.
This whole thread is getting a bit too worthy for my liking. Clothes are of the upmost importance, there is no point whatsoever to having a life outside of dressing up and coming on this forum, and people who dress like shit are scum. (Except if they're my friends or a girl I like and/or am involved with.) My clothes make me superior to the rest of humanity.
I did tell you not to spend so much time with the Dalai Lama.
You don't know how happy you just made me...

the Columbiaknit stuff is sturdy and thick but definitely runs quite large ... I have a couple of cobble cloth crewneck shirts from them ... YMMV but a great brand to know about especially if you are looking for generously sized cotton casual shirts ... the company makes well-regarded rugby shirts too, currently Orvis is offering a couple of colors ....
I've been meaning to pay a visit one of these days. They are here in my neck of the woods.
