Yep. One of the many things I like about him was his ability to find amazing musicians for his bands, and then give them lots of space to show their skills. (The fact that his bands were relatively small for Latin music made this easier or perhaps essential.) This was typified when he poached Mongo and Willie Bobo from TP (although it was done amicably) and gave them some extended percussion solos within the band's new reportoire, which was entirely appropriate for such a virtuosic combination.
Armando Peraza was also a wonderful musician, who only passed away recently.
It's indeed a shame, Bradley.
Anybody have that slim trousers ad that shows a man in a pink shirt (I think) in a pair of slim trousers and that same man in the same outfit but with more a roomier pair of trousers? I believe it said baggy trousers are out of fashion or something. Sorry for my bad explanation, don't remember it very well...

I wondered why he looked so different in that shot.

I always appreciate seeing a yellow button-down in action.

I bet that model was wearing his own kit. The almost orange socks are a bold choice, but the khakis and Yumas are superb. There was a theory posited on the Yumas thread that they only work with skinny trousers - here that is disproved.
The Frogman is good too of course! Fats Domino also did a nice version of You Always Hurt.
