Smart jacket Bop, at the risk of sounding stupid why are they called Topster?

Re: Ivy League style for today

I can't quite remember, I know Acton knows the 411 on that and there is a reason I can't quite remember, I believe it wasn't meant to be called something else. I'll see what I can dig up with a search it might be on a thread.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Yeah sorry not much help there... what I can remember, and I hope I remember correctly the 49er jacket was released in 1949 and became a massively successful woman's garment for Pendleton, they followed with the Topster a few years later, and there was a scrapping of the initial name they had for it. Again going from memory I think it coincided with some sort of event..

I just hope Mercer is sitting back having a proud chuckle at the uproar he created.

Oh heck!  I just realized we were talking about Mercer the member.  I thought this was all about the shirt company.  Sorry... carry on.

Guys ,all of this is becoming ball achingly boring.

So Woof and yuca are chubby haters  and i am a smarmy lordy bullshit artist , i hereby appologise to everyone  on behalf of everyone.

Maybe i am feeling benevolent because tomorrow is the day when my ancestors traditionally got completely pissed out of their heads.

As Tom said lets get this thread and place back to normal and Erin go Bragh, you wasp Sasana bastards

Re: Ivy League style for today

You are a complete twat Woof, and I think you actually do recognise it in yourself even if you dont wish to admit it. There are a lot of dinosaur Jeremy Clarkson type attitudes that circle around this place, and all it smacks of is contempt for others..
