A European warehouse would have been better.
Still, the ability to order duty paid is handy as long as brokerage costs stay low. One of the things that ebay seems to have done quite well.

Duty perhaps, but I doubt they'll be removing the VAT anytime soon. And it's usually VAT and broker's fees people moan about.
A slightly more generous threshhold than GBP 15/EUR 22, and taking postage costs out of the equation - now that would be doable and a big help to all. Not least to customs officers for whom it must all be a gigantic PITA too.
this will make it easier to get that pseudopreppy Chinese normcore junk into your hands guys! yeah!
screw that place! (the vintage USA-made Bean still rules though it's getting older and mint stuff hard to find)
Way to rain on the Euro-parade, Stan.
Yeah, can it with those negative waves, man.
"Chinese Normcore junk" sounds like a new album by Axl Rose
I like it
hahaha
Anyone used this yet, what do those who own more recent 'signature' models actually think of them?
/\ the company is profitable but I don't buy anything from it anymore, except for repairs to Bean Boots and the boots came back very nicely refurbished, this was about six or seven years ago already but apparently that service is still good.
Bean's guarantee is the best in the business, and the company has always been great and easy to deal with but I want the old Bean, or I personally am not that interested, I like American clothing made in America, even if it's a little more expensive. Just having the Look is not enough for me. I need that made in the USA label and stamp. One month until the Fourth of July.
By the way I would very much prefer it if J. Press held the line and made sure its merchandise continued to be made in the USA, UK, and Ireland.
Back to the topic, once Bean was such a dependable place ... I still have and use my old brown canvas duffel bags, wool camp blankets, both in red and green with black stripes, Maine Hunting Shoes, blucher mocs, corduroy overshirt, Baxter State Parka , even a Norwegian fisherman's sweater, ragg socks, etc.
Some of my favorite khakis ever were from Bean, but they were made in the USA and so were their zippers.
I would love to buy these things again from Bean, and if they ever go back to having their clothes, shoes and luggage made in America and the UK and bring the items I love back I'd buy them in a second, as well as ocbds, shorts, sweaters ......
