Jivy, it's an older BD Baggies. I've removed the yellow tag from the bottom of the placket. I have a couple of them and they're absolutely perfect! I actually prefer them to some of my rarer Norm Hilton popovers and late-50s/early-60s button downs for the full cut. I'm having Mercer make me all future popovers though; I've got six in the bag right now!
Hep, if only! I was at the Paramount for a 35mm screening (the venue and it's well preserved and gorgeously ornate deco interior is the draw) but I've seen the current version of the Count Basie Orchestra at the Welton Beckett-designed Mark Taper Forum in Downtown Los Angeles, which is nothing to sneeze at either.

Funny you pointed out the marquee btw because I hadn't paid attention and just assumed it was a contemporary photo, which says a lot!
Note the Roos Atkins store next door to The Paramount (Oakland, I presume.) R-A was a SF store where you could find Ivy items when the style was at its height. Not as expensive as Brooks or Press. I'm surprised their stuff doesn't turn up more often.
