Very cool Ox... would be even sharper if you swapped the brass for some white acrylic buttons. What's the jacket? That's almost Dodgers blue... I've never seen such a vivid shade like that on a blazer. I dig it a lot and it works great with the shirt, tie, chinos and shades! A+

I fucking LOVE those 70s converse lo-tops. I bought two pair the same as yours (natural whitee) then another pair in royal blue. Like walking on Diana Dors' billowing arse (60s arse-billow of course, gravity effect rendered the 70s DD arse far less plush-tastic)

Thanks fellas. I appreciate it. The blazer is a vintage Wash'n'Wear. The color is somewhere in between the two images above. It is not navy, but not quite air force blue.

Re: Ivy League style for today

TC and Sidewinder, how is the sizing on the 1970 Chuck Taylors?  I have been reading that one should go a half-size down from one's normal Converse size ....

what do you think, size down a half or order my regular Converse size?

rather get it right the first time ......

thanks for any replies

Re: Ivy League style for today

I actually go up Stan cos I like to put my old git plantar fasciitis bit in there on top too...

They do say go half a size down but we rarely get half sizes over here... I'm in a UK11/EUR 45 as this accommodates my fancy FULL insole as opposed to my half one... Not sure 100% how that equates to US sizing in Converse sizing..an 11.5 or 12?

They're a bit wider I think too than the regular ones but deffo a more substantial unit... Anywhere you can try em on first?
