So, then this is a thing. Posting Ebay listings that members might be currently bidding on? Wasn't there a rule about only posting Buy Now listings?
It happens man.. if I've flagged something just shoot me a PM and ask me to take it down. Did this myself the other day with a link that someone else dropped.
Nice vintage London Fog:

I'd guess they're probably nylon. I'd wear them to summer BBQs with seersucker or blazers but I can't really think of any other occasion that'd call for a hamburger tie.
It is frustrating having things listed you are watching/bidding on - there was a rule of auction only and I think that is fair, BIN items should not be listed in my view - not sure if they are, Oliver's posts are normally auction items.
If I see an item that is not my size but is cool I often pm the members I think will like it with advance heads up, only after that do I post in here.
What about auctions that have BIN available?
We have had a gentleman's agreement with regards not posting auction items.
I clearly did not know this as I've been dumping auction links in this thread for ages... my bad!
It's a bit of a double edged sword. I have benefited from people posting both types of auctions in here over the years. Items I would have otherwise never come across.
Sorry my confusion - of course that makes sense, the BIN, Auction or make offer option does indeed make it even trickier.
I have benefited from Oli posting auction items too.
He does do a sterling service for us all , so it is a tough one.
I may only be speaking for myself, but if I shared an auction in this thread and someone asked me to take it down because they were bidding on it, I'd be more than happy to oblige.
I have tried to PM Oliver about removing this recent listing…not sure it is going through.
My personal inclination is that anyone should feel free to post anything they wish here. If a member is interested in a particular item and is serious enough to bid / purchase it, then they can PM the poster and request that the link be removed. By and large we're an accommodating bunch and I doubt any member would respond "no" to a request to remove a link. I will sometimes send a specific item to another member via PM if I know it is their size before posting it here, but it's also not realistic to think that each of us are keeping track of the measurements of everyone else. Essentially, I think the benefit of posting any and all listings outweighs the negative possibility that someone else will snag it or that you'll be forced into a bidding war. As with life in general, you win some you lose some.
I agree and its not as if there are millions of people out there that share the same tastes as us freaks.
i always appreciated oli´s links. if nothing else we all get to look a good looking clothing items since his taste is impeccable
