Re: Ivy League style for today

Never seen a belt worn like that before, Oliver - intriguing.

I am sorry, but I do have to ask, what are those khakis? Look like ideal.

Must pick up some of those sperry cvos, too.

Re: Ivy League style for today

^^ Am I right to think you need to go a whole size up with CVOs?

Nice.  That's the Mercer right?  I put in an order recently for the pullover placket, but with long sleeves and in a blue oxford.  To be worn with a jacket mostly.

Colin, I went up a full size in my recent Keds, and could have probably gone up a half size above that.  They fit, but there's practically no room at the end of my toe.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Thanks fellas, the chinos are Japanese buckle-backs from Osaka. I have a half dozen pairs in every shade from olive to oyster. They are indeed ideal!

The popover is Mercer's royal cream oxford, the one and only! I originally threw on a silver cloud oxford but realized that they'd completely messed up the button placement on the placket and stitched them disproportionately in the wrong places making it look screwy. I wrote to Serena and she asked me to send it back but I think I may just swing by my tailor for a quick fix. I do find that despite the full cut, it can get a little tricky sliding in and out of the shirt when sizing down from collar to body but otherwise, I'm really happy with them.

I went up a half size with the Sperry CVO's. I'm typically an 8.5 but I had to dump them on WorriedMan and jump up to a size 9, haha.

What's the shirt? Top half is pretty spot on to me.

^Mmm...personally I'm not crazy about clothing that's manufactured to look as if it's worn.
