A shelltoe overkill seems very likely then. Sneaky buggers.
I'll keep mine in the cupboard then...tho' they're probably curling up at the toes by now he he...

Wimbledons and Bruins (sighs ) it all seems so long ago now (sheds tear).
Cool...
Apropos french (dunno if they are made in France, the label is french):

Nah. Wrong. Both pairs next year!!!
They are beautiful but it is some kind of self regulation...
Nice little sneaker picture gallery here. Look how quickly things go downhill after the Cortez:

The 1917 Converse look just like those Palladiums used by the French Foreign Legion.
Has anyone tried the made-in-China PF Flyer Lo Tops? I've been thinking about a pair in navy canvas. They're dirt cheap and can be had on eBay brand new for $40 but moral tendencies aside, I worry that they aren't built to last long being outsourced at those prices and I'm trying to take better care of my feet these days. Anyone have experience with them?
^ Oli, avoid they're very poor - the most returned shoe at a mates shop.
About 1 in 3 pairs were returned as the soles fell apart from being badly glued.
