Re: Ivy League style for today

You've read too much into what he wrote.

Let me put it in short for you.

I am a traveling salesman.  This is what I wear for work.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Sorry, my mistake. I mistook you for a traveling salesman for some reason.

BTW, is there a clothing forum you've not posted your image on? Seems to be everywhere.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Ha..!

So, I think you've got style there, cropping the chisel noses out the photo was a good call. You've also managed to make a uniqlo collar look sizeable. I'm guessing its their easy care shirt with the bigger roll.

The Next trousers I bought fitted in the leg very much like the old leesures ...unfortunately the rise was shocking. But anyway, welcome aboard I don't doubt that if you were to get all you hands on the right gear it wouldn't be a wasted venture because even given those details holding you back in that pic, like GW said, it still looks decent.

There are but I'd steer clear, your likely not to get such great reviews and back slapping on non-niche clothing sites.

^ I saw the comments first and then went looking for the clothes - expecting them to be really shitty.

However, they look pretty good to me. He has an interesting 60s jacket in a check that is not commonplace in the UK. The rest of the kit stands up well too.

Welcome to the new poster.

Thanks gentlemen. I'm just bitterly disappointed in myself now for not wearing my Primark sock-garters. Still, there's always next time.....

Did I say it looked shitty Kingy? No, I don't think I did.

You just can't help yourself can you?

Anyway I'm off to the tailors, I have a fitting for a new coat. 3/2 roll front, patch pockets (no flaps), side vents and darted. Cloth is 100% cashmere in a brown Herringbone weave by Read & Taylor. Bob on for Fall. You'll be glad to hear I won't be posting pictures of my outfit I'm wearing for said visit as I'll be driving the 15km or so there and back. Besides, I don't need you to tell me how fabulous my run of the mill attire is. I have a large mirror in the hallway that does that.

People on this forum sure have been testy lately. Ianeggbert, I like the photo, and welcome to the forum. Have you ever looked into Keydge jackets?
