I have both Niven's books stashed away. I last read them in the 90s, and intend to locate and reread. I enjoyed them back then.
Niven's verdict on William F. Buckley is classic.
I've inly read The Moons A Balloon, must get a copy of this me thinks.
Mr. Niven was pretty often here in Vienna and had suits made here at an inner city Viennese tailor... On of the best tailors ever (so it is said) - not Knize. Don't remember his name...
They're both good books, he also wrote a novel that was published in the early 1950s that has languished in obscurity.
Niven was pretty much everywhere as part of the international jet-set in Europe, we don't have that calibre of star anymore, alas!
