I lucked out with two great vintage cord sacks in rather rapid succession.  Seen nary a one since.

I was thinking more session musican for Dave Brubeck.

However either your grass is getting longer or your feet smaller?

That hem gettin' wider baby.

Actually, I did mow the grass this morning, so it's nice and fluffy.  It looked so nice in fact, that I took off my shoes and walked on it barefoot.  I felt alive for the first time in years.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Never found a corduroy jacket better than a Keydge.

I like the cotton ones for casual wear but on many of you, they wouldn't look good. Folks like WM with pretty spot-on period looks simply don't have a place for Keydge in their wardrobes. It'd be like seeing a Keydge on one of the Take Ivy kids.

People like don't always dress that way. Somehow, even when I have all the details right, I still don't look like our resident time capsules. Is it my hair? Is it my build? Eh, who knows? Keydges are good for people who like 3/2 sack jackets with two cuff buttons and casual fits. Not so good for people who want to replicate the look 100%.

When I want to really look like I've just time-traveled from the 60s, I don't reach for a Keydge. But that's not always a look that works for me (I wish it were).

Maybe Mercer could pull off a Keydge?

Navy slack jacket and striped tee shirt gets regular wear from me. I struggle to dress them more smartly (I've tried a tie but feels off for me). Mine is now heavily-washed out. Ideally, I'd get a three-patch navy blazer.

Ivy League style for today: tales from the front line

This morning whilst wearing my Lean Garments university stripe shirt, a pair of LVC 1967 505s, a pair of vintage oxblood beefroll Weejuns and what we can only be called a pair of black NHS specs I was complimented on my Japanese style.

Very nice, Cappy.  I'm partial to the Brooks look, of course.

An exemplary example of some real authentic authenticity there. (Points for pointing out all my points of redundancy there.)

McCooter probably knows where to find some cheap exhaust manifolds and knows a place where you'll always pass emissions.
