Think these and the bluchers are both on the list next pay day
nice, but I'd have the bluchers if I had to choose
Classic basics, done really well at the price point.
Both the camp moc and blucher are made for Bean by GH Bass.
European members can get the Bass version here ( tho' it can work out more expensive than buying direct from the US)...

^ the copy on the website is absolute bollox.
Written by some PR somebody without a clue about footwear.
The design dept isn't much better, check out the crepe sole weejun- it's just wrong

Slightly more refined is this pair I saw on ebay (they're still there) with "gumshoe" soles
I've never seen that before on weejuns - that must be something from reasonably recently is it ?

^ there's a few examples of a gum/crepe sole in the Bass back catalogue in loafer and laced versions, going back to at least the mid-50s. I had a pair of 'summer weejuns' from the late 60s which were suede with a perforated vamp and a similar gum sole to those MM, wore them to death tho' and the soles weren't replaceable
It's just those new ones look awful in the flesh, the combo of slightly plasticy looking leather and dark edge-ing on the crepe makes them look a bit cheap.
I'm loving these...but man do they squeak or what?!?!?
Could be me of course..
P.S. Picked up a cheapo bd the other day...how far are the buttons away on the down stroke?!?!?...looks most odd...an easy alteration mind...but is that common with them or have I an odd one?!?
