Yes. You have reminded me to get the blow dryer out and insulate my sash windows. Nice tie boner.

^ The label is Charter Club, if that means anything to you. I've seen it around in thrift shops. Great slouchy shoulders, partial lining, hook vent, narrow lapels. I bought it off a fellow enthusiast. Very dark green herringbone tweed. Normally I wouldn't pair grey with green, but with this jacket a light or medium grey trouser looks fine.

I see news people wearing yellow and light green ties with medium grey or charcoal grey suits and it always looks off to me, as if they are saying "No, I am not an investment banker, I am a Great Man of Ideas."

Nice jacket, Acton wink

Any chance of a shot wearing the jacket with the khakis?

Re: Ivy League style for today

good look Patrick ... people are talking about this all over the country and they are pissed, I feel bad for the messed-up kids who are going to die because of that junk, and their families ... the best thing that can be said is that the kids who do OD won't all have died in vain, some potential users will be scared off by them .....

WM - Sharp tie. I am happy that you are experiencing the joy that is wearing one.

Patrick & Stanshall - It seems to have taken over everywhere like this is NY in the 70s. My little city is no different. Some of the neighboring rural towns are even worse. Not sure who they are pissed at Patrick, but it sure is sad.

Re: Ivy League style for today

They are not angry at me, although there are some who would prefer we not mention the drug epidemic because they think their property value will suffer.

No, people are angry in general, especially when the dealers operate more or less in plain sight and, when they do get arrested and convicted, rarely go away for very long.

In general I find it helpful to be dressed fairly well when emotions are running high. (Of course, I find it helpful to be fairly well-dressed when I go to the library.)

The new breed of heroin users are white, 18-35, male, and live in suburban or rural areas. This is not "Panic in Needle Park." That's what people find so hard to believe.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Fair play, Yuca. Love your photos. "Ivy in Action" as opposed to my horrible self conscious selfies.

I was chatting to JS a couple a weeks ago about performers being able to forget what their wearing ( when performing-  ) and just do the work, on stage or in front of the lens. That the last thing you want you want to be doing is being self conscious about your clothes. The fit, the cut etc. Which has prompted me to really sort out the fit issues with some of my duds or get rid of them...

Oh to be free! Of my own shackles...coz no one else gives a fooooooooook.
Took a bunch of stuff to the tailor on Sat. I immediately felt relief from my spiritual malady! Fit, fit, fit!

I'm of a similar persuasion - no matter how good the item, if it doesn't fit then I get it altered or I get rid.

^ epic stuff T, that tie on it's own could take on most 'comers in the 'Ivy' stakes.

Ehem!  AC, you do know I can read?  I resemble your pervert comment.  And there's also something here at my house for you.

But yes, a quick iron and Derm will be spot-on.  Well, I could also say something about getting a haircut, but I won't.  smile

And as for Tom up there, that is one wallop of a look.
