I know there are a fair number of non-American members here, but I still wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving.
I have to say, I'm thankful for all the amazing people I've met on this message board. I look back on photos from my first few days here and realize I knew just enough to look like I didn't know very much at all. I'd always had elements of the Ivy League Look, but never had the knowledge to put it all together correctly. It's been a great education. Everyone has been very respectful with their critiques. And some of you have even been kind enough to talk with me through messages about what works and what doesn't. I'm still working on it, but I'm getting there.
Outside of that, it's been wonderful getting to know about your lives and your personal styles. I love that even with a style that's know for being understated, everyone has put their own touch on it. You've got Bop on one end, WM on the other and Ox dead center as always (just to name a few that stand out, but really you all knock it out of the park on a daily basis). It's very inspiring.
So thank you for welcoming me into this small, but vibrant community. And even if you aren't in the States, spend the day stuffing your face with good food and good liquor and surround yourself with the people that you love.
N.B. Oh, I'm also thankful for pink flap pocket OCBDs, Wigwam huskies, Press navy sack blazers made by Southwick and clothes irons.
Yes! Let's celebrate the one time a wave of immigrants to America actually did wipe out many of its inhabitants!
That's a joke, by the way. Happy Thanksgiving to all our American chums!
Thank you, RP. Have a good one. And the same to all y'all.
Nice 1 'derm,
a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and all our US members.
May your Turkey be moist and salmonella free !
I include this just because the presenter has a magnificent 'tache...

Remember, more people are killed by their toaster or spouse at this time of year than by 'terrorists' so be careful out there.

That was very touching, Derm. Now let's all go eat ourselves into a stupor!
Here, here! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
I'm looking forward to a $13 cafeteria-style turkey dinner at "Tommy's Joynt" tonight.
Thanksgiving: a perfect day to reflect and to avoid any commercial enterprise.
A vegetarian feast for me today. Oli, doesn't Tommy's Joynt serve buffalo stew?

Thanksgiving in Shanghai. Had pizza with country music on in the restaurant. I think I was the only one who thought this was funny.
I also think I am the only one in town wearing button downs. There is no sadder look to me than suit guy wearing a spread collar sans tie. Double sad if it is one of those suits that are cut as if for a woman. Sadly this eurotrash style is much more in vogue than our relaxed American style. But at least most Chinese instantly know I'm American without need of word to confirm the fact.
/\ great post, Jeff!
