Keeping svelte the right way eh Ox, good work fella. Been neglecting my exercise recently due to some discomfort when training, getting some test done to see if it shows anything. Might just be stress from work but it's not helping me shift the christmas pudding!
Shoes are probably the most important part and the hardest to find without looking like a walking billboard. NB probably have a good understated shoe, Saucony might be worth a look too. I have some of that brand with the tick I wear but they have some orange flashes on an otherwise matt grey shoe so not too bad but not perfect. As you will know being an avid sports person it's no good wearing vintage guff, you'll just get injured.

I have a pair of ugly grey New Balance that I used to stick electrical tape on... I kind of want to take an ivory paint can to them to make them even uglier, on my own terms.
Also, I would wear a t-shirt or sweatshirt with my Alma Mater on it. Maybe some other type of home team shirt (like triple a baseball), but that is my limit.

I'm contemplating trying an Ebbets cap, there are a couple on ebay at a decent price so if it doesn't work out, it won't hurt so much. I'm not a sporty person so I have no reason to wear real sportswear but I am a fan of wearing grey sweatshirts, chino, canvas trainers and especially at the moment, when the temperature allows, a boardshirt on top.
Next time you're in the U.S. try to stop in a Walmart in a town like LaPlace, Louisiana or maybe Sevierville, Tennessee.

Cheers chaps, not actually my feet that is the issue, though I will keep that link Acton.
I've had orthotics for my cycling shoes before though not sure they made a lot of difference, but for running maybe - I do suffer with acute tendonitis.
^ depends on what you're after T,
if you want budget then do a Google search for MJ Soffe or Fruit of the Loom ( decent quality and about £8 with postage if you search about)
for something a bit more substantial,
Ebbetts did the classic 'Fungo' shirt (twin layer, henley style collar), none on their site currently so eBay may turn up one.
There are a few Etsy shops that specialise in vintage baseball attire as well, these can get a bit 'nosebleed' price-wise for NOS but good quality used do turn up.
