It's a bit of a surprise to see new color offerings at this time of the year. I would normally expect to see these being unveiled in mid to late August.
Gingham in blue and brown:

Two new stripes in green (NOT aqua) and red:

The previous color offerings remain.
Are there any other colors in the near future?
Great news, glad to see they brought back the green uni stripe!
Brooks shirts? Yes most of their offerings are made in Malaysia and yes a lot of them are non-iron (not a bad thing if you are travelling) but for my money they are still the best off the peg shirts out there. For cut, comfort, durability and value no one else comes close in the RTW market. I wear them a lot at work and keep my vintage Makers for social, domestic and pleasure.
Read about this a month or two ago in the NY Times.

As I said elsewhere earlier - it's a nod to a heritage that had disappeared by the 50s, and was optional for some time prior to that. Considering the placket on these new shirts is 1990s style, that's a strange hybrid.
However they are minor details, and the shirts as a whole seem pretty decent.

/\ chuckle ..... a good seamstress is as we all know worth her weight in gold .... we had one for decades, she's gone now, and it doesn't matter how much I pay now, a commercial alterations tailor will never be as painstaking as this great lady was ....
by the way I don't believe the apocryphal tale of Princeton parvenus sandpapering their shirt collars to instantly achieve the frayed look, I seriously doubt that ever happened even one time anywhere, regardless of the memoir alluding to it which is mentioned in the above-linked Times article .........
But all this "original" stuff is very upsetting…
Wasn't the first BB polo collar on a pop/pullover shirt? And did that have a pocket?

Sorry Robbie, I went straight downstairs. Didn't look at the shirts.

And THIS is what it's all about - Personal choice.
Unlined collar, cuffs & placket ?
No breast pocket ?
Back collar button ?
