/\ as promised, that's a fantastic shot, nice clothes and even a couple of buffalo plaids that found their way down south, love the thatched chickee hut too, thanks Yuca

Would it be too bad matching a seersucker jacket with a nice pair of high rise jeans?

/\ not at all Young Ivy, you are in control, whether you can find a boom years pic of it or not, if you like it, then yeah! better if the jeans are old and faded and the denim is not extremely heavy or dark .....
/\ I know for sure of one 1973 photo of a rich longhaired hippie wearing Polaroid shades, a classic Ivy seersucker jacket with two on the sleeve, a weird Disney t-shirt, and faded old blue jeans .....
to me it's still thrilling to see photos from that wild Watergate time of quintessential Gonzo ....
anyway, everybody knows that medium-gray tropical wool worsted trousers are the only thing that's "correct" with a seersucker jacket but sometimes you need to be more casual
with seersucker and jeans you're in preppy territory, not Ivy, but I personally like the mix of '50s/'60s and '70s/early '80s styles, which yields Late '70s Prep ....
the obvious answer from people not on the ground in the tropics or sticklers is no it's not alright to wear seersucker with jeans but sometimes you don't feel like being obvious
mixing resortwear with workwear is classically jarring in its own right .....
^ What about chinos with a seersucker jacket, perhaps a stone coloured pair?
