/\ great man was a dresser ... used to see him around all the time
Frank doesn't wear button-down collars, but when he does, it's to match Antonio Carlos Jobim
haha, Allan Sherman was a funny little man ...... nice collar roll and ancient madder though ......
Frank was such a lounge lizard.
Lounge lizards WISHED they were Frank!
Seriously though, his bossa nova records with Jobim are very good in my opinion... A small window of time where Frank embraced the weakness of his older voice (instead of singing "Downtown" and other misguided attempts at late-60s hipness) and found a great vehicle for it... Frank was an amazing personality, and I think a man with a lot of fundamental sadness... The Anthony Summers/Robbyn Swan bio is a great read, the only good book on Frank I've ever read...
Med student, 1964...
As he did in much of his show JOHNNY STACCATO too.
AC, love that shot of Kenny Burrell...
'Dean of Men' How is THAT for a job title!
Another shot of Cassevetes. The jacket is blue but in these black and white photos it almost looks off-white...
/\ like the unusual choice of soft shoes on Cassavetes there, and while Roman's white slip-ons are diabolical, the collar-roll on his oxford buttondown is righteous.
JC's shoes look similar to the '64-'65-era Freeman casual shoes (Style 5224 in Mist Moosehide) you posted in your epic Playboy thread .....
