The hottest day of the year conveniently fell on dress down Friday. Thought I'd keep it simple with some John Simons chinos, navy Fruit of the Loom pocket tee and Surgical appliance Cortez. Decided to sack the afternoon off and so went home to sit in the garden, ditching the chinos for some recently acquired Uniqlo utility shorts after taking inspiration from some Japanese guys from Instagram.

it was a humid scorcher today but I didn't have to go downtown, so I wore a long-sleeved forest-green t-shirt (to protect my arms from the sun), navy walk shorts, Incontinence pants Indoor Supers, no socks .....
Mid-70s and overcast here in Balt'more... . I wore my yellow Brooks ocbd,O'Connell's stone chinos, LL Bean blucher mocs, and J. Crew dark leather belt. Oh, I guess some kind of weak PRL too-thin argyle socks. Blah. I am sock poor these days.
Mia Esposa Muy Hermosa said I looked nice.
I dragged along my stone Baracuta just in case. Lucky thing, too. I had to wear it in the vault.

I can sympathise, as well. I was thinking of white argyles. They seem strangely easier to wear than plain whites.
Anyway, here's my contribution:
Vintage M-51 field jacket
Uniqlo white tee
Levis 501CTs
Uniqlo white socks
Clarks Dessies
I'm liking the 50s vibe, Pennies... I just picked up a pack of the retro fit white crewneck tees from Ribbed Tees for exactly this kind of jeans and white tee look, we'll see how they work out for me... pretty pricey at about $20 per shirt with shipping...
Today was another crewneck sweatshirt day for me... Ebbets Field ballcap, federal blue Birdwell competition jacket, dark green LL Bean sweatshirt (slightly stained), Bluer classic straight jeans, Wigwam 625s, and navy Keds...
