Sean Connery is unsurpassed as James Bond. But Roger Moore remained personable and charming to the end, while Connery has withered and become a whinging Scottish nationalist ..... from tax exile.
Haha it's true that Connery is the best Bond...
This whole thing is in uppercase, which is a pain, but it's totally worth the read, it's in several parts - here's part one... http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2014/07/14/hulk-vs.-james-bond-staring-into-the-id-of-a-boner-incarnate
The execrable Pepper (honestly, WHY) excepted, I think MWTGG has the perfect amounts of the three Moore era elements, action + goofiness + class...
Sean Connery, of course, long will be revered as the quintessential Bond by the general audience. However, for my money, Daniel Craig turns in the best performances, and his movies remain my second favorites (combined) after From Russia, With Love. And yes, I grew up on the Bond movies of the 1960s.
I'm a big fan of Craig, too... The Craig movies are a really a different beast though, except maybe Spectre which was very silly... I'm also a big fan of On Her Majesty's Secret Service which could be seen as a precursor to the Craig Bonds in a way, especially the ending...
the Daniel Craig Casino Royale was excellent, it's true, he's the second-best serious Bond ... Roger Moore's Bond in Man with the Golden Gun and Spy Who Loved Me is inimitable in its own way and I really love those films, but Goldfinger will always be the greatest 007 film, and From Russia With Love the second-greatest, to me.
Musically Thunderball is thrilling, and my favorite theme songs are Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, and Live and Let Die. I also sometimes listen to the Burt Bacharach Casino Royale album.
going to discuss Bond women too but Ursula Andress and Daniela Bianchi ...., and Lana Wood for starters .....
/\ thanks a bunch Beebs, what a gal, I remember her, she was a junior when I was a freshman, I always dug her tube socks and Incontinence pants look ... outstanding.

Our pal and Talk Ivy member Senorservo2.0 was and is probably still down in Puerto Rico working on hurricane relief. To all his friends here, please try to call and text him to find out how he's doing and wish him and his family well.
/\ a thing of beauty is a joy forever .... and the red Mustang is gorgeous too!
/\ what a beauty ... I like everything about this pic except the backgammon, too hyper for that, but I like the Brady Bunch wood-paneling, chain-link lighting fixture, bedspread, mini-marshmallows ....
hard to believe that all kids had to wear tube socks and gym shorts in the '70s no matter who they were ....
