Trad T-Shirts for sport activity

What is the most "reasonable" t-shirt for sports activities, i.e. running and cycling?

Reasonable as in "staple", nothing fancy or with a made-up story about how the Duke of Windsor wore them.

Fruit of the Loom?
Sunspel seems expensive for a mere t-shirt.

And: it doesn't have to be American. And it should be easily available over here in Europe. And it doesn't need to have a story or a moral mission.

Something norm core but slightly better.

Oh, and a tshirt should be think, not flimsy. Grey marl with round neck, not "slim fit".

On the basis that you critiqued people who seem to live in the past on another thread - why does it matter whether shoes or t-shirts are in any way Trad?  It's either one position or the other?

^ they now do a few weights and shapes.
The ones at JS were the pocket t's and what is now listed as their heavy weight  'modern fit'.

Their summer weight 'classic fit' is my own fave, same shape and weight as the old Hanes beefy t

"trad" as in "not fashionable but solid quality without lots of marketing smoke and mirrors"

not as in "looking like a 1930ies bare knuckle boxer"

Any ideas about European manufacturers? I even thought about Trigema, owned by Wolfgang Grupp, the Fritz Raddatz of the undergarment industry in Germany.

There was me thinking to myself: what the hell are you doing spending all that time and trouble on getting T shirts imported from the USA when you could just go to H&M? Now I know the answer.

If the Goodwear are worth the trouble of importing I will let you know. Importing from the US is normally not that complicated/expensive a procedure (although the risk of customs charges is high), and is worth it for something of quality. At least imo.

Yeah true - but still. I don't think T-Shirts have to travel across the ocean. I will look at local altatives. Trigema is known for their

They look reasonable at first glance, however they have a little tag on the side - I can't stand such things personally (I am well aware most people feel the opposite).

I had a couple from M&S that I used to play cricket in during the few days it got hot, they washed really well and lasted for a few seasons. Going back a few years now but maybe worth a look.
