Unseen - Any relevant style sights there?
Nothing really, although the guys I was with had encountered Giles Plumpton earlier in the day which would be worth several in one hit.
It's funny as I get older Christmas is more about the run-up than the actual three days. Lot's of booze-fuelled activities. The Singer constitution isn't what it was.
Another night out. My wife's office party.
Navy baby cord John Simons suit, black watch Brooks shirt, navy Polo knit tie, Cordo C&J tassel loafers.
As she works in IT no Ivy sighting to report back on.
Afternoon pre-Christmas drinks at the neighbors
Pink brushed Harley Shetland, blue Brooks Bros OCBD, Ivory FOB Factory Bedford's & Mocha Reverse suede Sanders Harry chukkas.

Sounds great Running.
Any comments about the pink sweater?
I wore a pair of pink cords to a works reunion and, as totally expected, a couple of them felt compelled to make remarks. Not that I gave a toss.
‘Oh I like the trousers’ (which means they don’t).
Brave to wear a beret - but you could just put it on in Soho.
Hardy and Johnson jackets are sorely missed. I just bought a heavyweight Donegal bakers boy cap. I am sure H&J Donegal jacket would have been very good. They were better than John Simons stuff IMO.

Interesting to read some of you guys wearing white or ivory cords at this time of year, that`s always been a no no for me, though i wear them to death in spring and summer. The same with loafers, i never would wear them in winter, though the last couple of years i`m never out of them.
White trahseez are difficult to get away with at any time. Don't wear them to eat spaghetti Bolognese.
They’re a cracking choice (away from that bowl of spaghetti) around this time of year to brighten up an outfit, just not when it’s wet as you risk splash kicking up the back. Sadly I don’t have any white/ecru cords, keep looking for a pair, seem to be the eternal finder of olive pairs.

No FSC, but you have to bear in mind some of them had daft Christmas jumpers on.

Once you’ve cracked wearing a beret in Feltham ‘spoons you can go anywhere - haha!

I usually try for a good contrast between top and bottom i.e. light trousers - darker coat/jacket or vice versa.
So I’m quite happy wearing ivory or stone colour jeans any time of year. Brilliant white could be a step too far in the depths of winter. As Kingy says great caution is needed when eating spag bol or curry.
I used to wear a lovely off white pair of Brooks micro cords.
They looked great with dark navy chunky knitwear and dark suede chukka boots. The quality wasn't great though.
The only down side in Winter was picking up muddy splatters on the bottom part of the trouser.
Yesterday, off to the Chelsea Arts Club with Mrs H for Christmas Lunch with Lloyd and his wife. H&J brown plaid wool jacket, vintage M&S blue cashmere saddle shouldered knitted shirt, old navy blue M&S luxury cord 5-pockets, Alfred Sargent crepe soled chukkas. Topped of with a London Fog mac and a Tootal
paisley scarf. A lovely afternoon catching up with old friends.

I've been wearing my silk Total paisley scarf a lot in recent weeks.I find it sets off a muted outfit I got a compliment from the young barmaid in my local pub and when I went to take it off in the warm pub she told me I should keep it on, for the look.
Travelling back to Finland, for Christmas, last week I noticed a few young guys, Finnish and English wearing white, off white trousers. It must be a thing amongst these late 20s blokes.I thought that was quite brave for a 6 am flight and I would have been nervous doing the same. Sitting in a wetherspoons at 4am nursing a pint of Guinness I'm sure I would have had an accident. Anyway my ecru 5 pocket trousers didn't even get an outing in the summer and remain pristine and unworn . Sometimes it takes me ages before I wear a new purchase. Some kind of physiological barrier from spoiling the new.

I have two sports jackets, I've never worn for the same reason. I must wear them, one is a stunning RL loden green 3/2 Ivy slack jacket. Absolutely beautiful and perfect Ivy details in every way, but I know I'll never find it again, so every time I go to put it on I think 'but it's too nice'. Bonkers of me I know. There's my new year resolution right there.
Christmas salutations all. Wonderful to see Hardy & Johnson reunited for lunch.
Chris, that sounds dapper. What did Lloyd wear? I hope you have a stock of H&J jackets to see you through many more Christmas lunches.
He wore a vintage leather Mackinaw, RRPL 1930's style denim work shirt, Browns Beach Style vest, vintage style grey birds eye denim work trousers 1000 mile boots.

I think I meant 'Psychological' and not 'physiological' but perhaps both applies. Five minutes in Finland and my English language falls apart.
