Not really Ivy related. However, woof/flat6 was at a previous event in Egham.
The big attraction here is the Wurlitzer organ that rises from the floor. Previously at The Regal cinema in Kingston. Volunteers look after player pianos and all sorts of musical antiques. It's a bit like the Repair Shop , you cannot just slot a spare part into many of these items. Long before EMI and vinyl in Hayes, Hounslow was producing music rolls for player pianos. Even if you don't like ales or are a continental boulevardier like our Everton pal who prefers coffee shops.
Those of us who went for free on a London Open House visit know just how
good this museum is.
It only opens at weekends. Beer festival entrance is £3 (or £2 if you have a Camra or “SPBW card). This will be included in the entrance fee. I would have been prepared to pay full entrance of £15 to visit again, but beer festival price is a real steal. Not worth paying £15 while the beer festival is a distraction.
The Strand cafe opposite Kew Bridge station does really good, inexpensive Thai lunches.
Forty beers from the wood. Previous festivals took place at Turks Head, Twickenham and last time a sellout success at Ye Olde Mitre in Holborn.

I am not volunteering this time but will probably wear a beer polo shirt.

That looks ace
Kingston1an - thanks for posting, it sounds like a really interesting venue and £3 entry is excellent. The only time I could go is Thursday afternoon for a couple of hours, so I will aim for that.
Probably see you in there. We are having lunch and heading there when it opens. First crack at the beers.
